Movember

Image showing mustache for Movember campaign.

Movember is an international movement that aims to raise awareness of key men’s health issues – particularly mental health and suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Every year in the UK, men account for three quarters of all suicides. Prostate cancer affects more men than any other cancer, and incidences of testicular cancer have doubled in the last 50 years.

As a movement, Movember aims to encourage more men to address these health issues proactively. It also strives to raise money for programmes that fund education, research and that provide direct support for those already suffering.

Since its inception in 2003, Movember has also raised a staggering £600 million through hugely popular and imaginative fund-raising activities.
